Harvey

Driving out of Rockport there’s a place where the highway becomes divided for a bit and then the divide gets really wide. The space between the two sides of the road is currently being used as some kind of staging area to clear the debris of hurricane Harvey. It’s strange to drive by great piles of what are essentially people’s stuff, smashed beyond repair or recognition. A good reminder that just because things slip out of our memory doesn’t mean they’ve gone away.
